- Supports and demonstrates ob体育’s core values

- Responsibility for leading and supervising the Private Client Placement Team by providing direction and oversight to ensure compliance with workflow and upholding carrier appetite and placement standards
- Participates in and oversees all functions of Private Client Placement Team including generating quotes via online quoting and comparative rating systems, creating proposals, entering information into agency management system and documenting files
- Collaborates with staff, both locally and long distance, as well as carrier partners in developing and executing marketing and placement strategies to drive new business growth and meet or exceed agency and department goals
- Works closely with Market Leaders and fosters a spirit of teamwork between Producers and Placement Team to drive results, support strategic initiatives, and meet established deadlines and new business goals
- Provides support to Placement Team on complex risks to negotiate eligibility and optimum coverage terms with insurance carriers
- Works with key contacts and underwriters to build relationships with carrier partners to solidify long term partnerships
- Maintains knowledge of carrier and broker appetites and specialty programs including leading carrier meetings to stay apprised of market and rate changes
- Effectively communicates market and rate changes to ob体育 Select associates
- Monitors department coverage and evaluates workloads to reassign accounts as necessary
- Provides technical expertise and strategic guidance to Placement Team
- Supports associates in their expansion of industry and carrier knowledge through ongoing training and carrier meetings
- Participates and directs in the hiring and onboarding of new associates
Required Experience and Skills include but are not limited to:
- Strong leadership, management, and motivational skills
- Ability to communicate in a pragmatic and proactive way
- Ability to handle conflict and bring to a timely resolution
- In-depth knowledge of carrier appetites, workflows, and agency management/comparative rater systems
- Strong knowledge of policy forms and endorsements
- Ability to analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Math skills and familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while responding to requests in a timely, accurate, and friendly manner
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and quick turnaround demands
- Strong computer proficiency
- Minimum 5 years of similar or related experience preferred
- 2 years of prior management experience preferred
- Property and Casualty license required for state of business and must fulfill continuing education requirement to retain license
- Limited travel required
